What this service is.

Stack Cost AI is a free, informational web tool that helps first-time founders and builders estimate what the vendor stack behind an IT or software project costs — authentication, database, LLM API, hosting and so on — with free-first provider options and notes on where free tiers realistically break.

It's guidance for planning, delivered through a website. It is not a vendor, a reseller, an affiliate marketplace or a procurement service.

Estimates, not quotes.

Every price on this site is a hand-researched estimate for reference only — not a real-time price, an offer, or a quote. Vendor pricing changes frequently and without notice, tiers and free-tier limits differ by region and usage, and your project will never match anyone else's exactly. Before you spend a cent, re-check the current price on each provider's own website.

• We show when prices were last manually verified, and flag data that hasn't been re-checked recently.
• Nothing here is financial, legal, tax or professional advice.
• Always confirm each provider's current pricing, tier and free-tier limits yourself before you decide, buy or commit budget.
• Stack Cost AI is not responsible for any costs, overruns or problems that come from using these estimates — the decision, and the risk, are yours.

Acceptable use.

Use the tool freely — for personal projects, for work, printed or exported as PDFs to share with your team or clients. In return, please don't:

• Attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure.
• Scrape aggressively or in any way that degrades the site for everyone else.
• Resell our pricing research as your own dataset or product.
• Present our output as an official quote from any provider — it isn't one.
• Use the site for anything unlawful.

Intellectual property.

The Stack Cost AI name, the site's design, its text and its pricing research are © Stack Cost AI, all rights reserved.

Provider names, logos and trademarks mentioned anywhere on the site belong to their respective owners. Listing a provider is not an endorsement, and we're not affiliated with any of them. Today there are no affiliate links at all; if affiliate links ever appear, they'll be disclosed clearly and they will never change how providers are ranked.

Availability and changes.

The site is provided as-is. We may add, change, suspend or remove parts of it — features, pages, data — at any time and without notice. There's no uptime guarantee, and pricing data gets updated regularly, so results can change between visits.

Disclaimers.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stack Cost AI is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We work hard to keep the data honest, but we don't warrant that every number is complete, current or error-free.

Limitation of liability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stack Cost AI and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost budgets or lost data — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site.

And to the extent any liability exists at all, total liability is capped at the amount you paid us. Which, because the tool is free, is $0.

The boring-but-standard bits.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Failing to enforce a term once isn't waiving it later. These terms don't create any partnership, agency or employment relationship. They make up the whole agreement between you and us regarding the site.

Changes to these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
