Privacy Policy.
The short version: we don't have accounts, so we don't have your data. Everything you build with the estimator stays in your browser until you decide to clear it.

What we collect.
You can use every part of Stack Cost AI — the project cost estimator, the provider comparison and the printable summary — without an account, an email address or a signup form. There is no signup form. Specifically:
- We don't ask for your name, email address or payment details.
- We don't run analytics, ad networks or session-recording scripts.
- We don't set advertising or tracking cookies.
- We don't sell or share personal information — because there isn't any to sell.
Standard server logs.
One honest exception: like virtually every website on the internet, our hosting infrastructure automatically records basic technical logs — things like IP address, requested URL, timestamp and browser type.
These logs exist to keep the site available, secure and free of abuse. They are kept only for a short period, they are never used to profile you or target you with advertising, and they are never sold. If you browse with a VPN or an ad blocker, everything on Stack Cost AI keeps working — nothing here depends on knowing who you are.
What stays on your device.
When you pick providers while building an estimate, those choices are saved in your own browser using local storage, so your picks survive a refresh and theMy Summary page can show an itemized total.
All of this happens entirely on your side of the wire: every estimate is computed in your browser, and your selections are never transmitted to us. To erase them, hit "Clear all" on the My Summary page, or clear site data in your browser settings. Private or incognito windows don't persist selections at all.
Third parties we rely on.
We keep this list deliberately short:
- Our hosting provider serves the static files that make up this site, and processes the standard server logs described above.
- Google Fonts supplies the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces. Loading a page fetches the font files from Google's servers, which means Google sees the standard request data for those files.
That's the whole list. No analytics services, no ad networks, no social widgets, no chat bubbles. And when you click through to a provider's own website — Supabase, Stripe, whoever — their privacy policy takes over there, not ours.
Children.
Stack Cost AI is a tool for people planning software projects, and it is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children — and since there are no accounts or forms here, there is practically nothing to collect. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights — and why they're easy here.
Depending on where you live, regulations like the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Because we hold essentially none, most such requests resolve faster than usual: we check, find nothing, and confirm.
Want everything gone anyway? Clear your browser's local storage for this site, and the short-lived server logs will age out on their own schedule. If you have questions or want a written confirmation, email us — we'd rather answer than hide behind a form.
Changes to this policy.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date at the top. If a change ever becomes material — say, we someday add optional accounts — we'll state plainly what changed and what it means for you.
