Privacy Policy.

What we collect.

You can use every part of Stack Cost AI, including the project cost estimator, provider comparison, and printable summary, without an account, email address, or signup. Specifically:

• We don't ask for your name, email address, or payment details.
• We don't use analytics, ad networks, or session recording scripts.
• We don't set advertising or tracking cookies.
• We don't sell or share personal information because there isn't any to sell.

Standard server logs.

One honest exception: like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, timestamp, and browser type.

These logs help us keep the site available, secure, and protected from abuse. They are kept only for a short period, are never used to profile you or target you with advertising, and are never sold. If you browse with a VPN or an ad blocker, Stack Cost AI continues to work normally. Nothing here depends on knowing who you are.

What stays on your device.

When you select providers while building an estimate, your choices are saved in your browser using local storage. This allows your selections to survive a refresh and lets the My Summary page show your itemized total.

Everything happens on your side. Estimates are calculated directly in your browser, and your selections are never sent to our servers. To remove them, select "Clear all" on the My Summary page or clear the site's data in your browser settings. Private or incognito windows do not permanently save your selections.

Third parties we rely on.

We keep this list deliberately short:

• Our hosting provider serves the static files that make up Stack Cost AI and processes the standard server logs described above.
• Google Fonts provides the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces. When a page loads these fonts, the font files are requested from Google's servers, which means Google receives the standard request information associated with those files.

That's the whole list. There are no analytics services, ad networks, social widgets, or chat tools. When you click through to a provider's own website, such as Supabase or Stripe, their privacy policy applies there, not ours.

Cookies.

We don't set cookies, including cookies used to remember your preferences. The browser local storage described above is a separate mechanism and contains only your provider selections. Clearing site data for Stack Cost AI removes those selections completely.

Children.

Stack Cost AI is a tool for people planning software projects and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Since there are no accounts or forms, there is very little personal information to collect in the first place. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Your rights and why they're simple here.

Depending on where you live, regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA may give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Because we hold very little personal information, these requests are usually straightforward. We'll check what we have and confirm the result.

If you want to remove everything stored on your side, clear the site's local storage in your browser. Short lived server logs are automatically removed according to our retention schedule. If you have questions or want written confirmation, contact us directly.

Changes to this policy.

If this policy changes, we'll publish the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.

If we ever make a significant change, such as introducing optional accounts, we'll clearly explain what changed and what it means for you.
